Winter Steelhead is in full swing. Fishing has been good when we have been able to get out. Here is a picture of Loren and Clint on the Siuslaw with three nice hatchery fish. They also landed two wild fish that day. (Sorry for the poor picture, I think my camera was fogged up). The Umpqua has a bunch of fish, but high water conditions have made it tough. Look forward to great fishing after the rivers start to drop.
Shane had a blast fishing with you an my father on the Umpqua Jan. 13th! The serenity of steelhead green water lures the angler into a false sense of calmness. Only to be awakened by an explosion of mayham as that steely decides to pick up your drift an give an impression of a river dance as you hold on, praying, coaxing your catch to stay on just long enough... yeah thats what its about good times look forward to more! - Jon Handschuch
